Part of the Rocky Mountain Range, the Grand Tetons are located in northwest Wyoming. The park boasts more than 200 miles of hiking trails, and there are almost endless opportunities to birdwatch, fish, climb, boat, and go cross-country skiing or snowshoeing in the winter. Six campgrounds can be found within the park, and backcountry camping is available to visitors who purchase a special permit. All visitors must purchase an entrance permit, which is valid for 7 days from the date of purchase and can be used for the John D. Rockefeller Jr. Memorial Parkway as well.
